Browsing Pinterest and tumblr is fun and improves my aesthetic sense, methinks. But beyond that, I have to read. Reading helps me form thoughts and give me vocabulary. And vocabulary helps me remember and learn and build upon. Words words. That's why they say the younger a kid knows more words, the more they remember. That's why they also say it is good to read.

You know decision making? It sometimes is hard. But once we decide, it feels so good. Because deciding allows us to focus our efforts in the direction of that decision, and helps us move forward. Even if it seems like a "wrong decision" later, at times that is better than being stuck and never getting anywhere. And anyway, I believe in Romans 8:28- that all things work for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose.

You know those quotes about finding someone who doesn't want to change you? I agree that I want someone who "loves me as I am", but, I wouldn't want to stay the same either. Because I know I have countless faults, and that one person who loves me would be someone I trust to be accepting of my faults, yet patient and gentle in making me a better person. I wouldn't want to be the same person I was ten years ago. In romantic relationships and friendships alike, true, honest love can make us all better if we let it.
