Merry Christmas folks! May we remember all the good gifts we have already been given – gifts of joy, love, warmth, family, friendships, a roof to sleep under, three meals a day, and more – and the giver of those good gifts.

I never set out to have all of these. All the goals people say we must set – I never had those. I could have been single for a long time, willingly. I was focussed on my honours thesis, serving in OCF, just loving God. Then He interrupted me. God interrupted me. Though it took time, my heart was opened up to this idea – the idea of a romantic relationship, the idea of having someone to lean on,  and He gave me someone good . So yea, I never set out to have all that I have. But God has given to me. And I am grateful. --- Shot on film by Mei and Mingyao.

Some of the sounds and sights of the place I grew up in: These kiddos – my nephews and nieces. They are growing up so quickly and it's pretty amazing to witness their personalities which are evident at such a young age. Because my sisters are quite a bit older than my brother and I, we joke that they had their turn learning to take care of kids with my brother and I as the guinea pigs. So now, we are learning to take care of kids with their  kids. 

I'm back in Singapore! Friends have been asking, "How was your trip?" And I tell them, " This  is the trip!" Since Australia is now home, times in Singapore are now considered as holidays, rather than vice-versa. I came back early for a dear friend's wedding. Janice was my primary and secondary school mate, and church cell group mate. Glad we've kept in touch through the years. Though we meet very seldom due to being in different countries, every meet up is full of story trading and super encouraging.  ^ Gatecrash: Bridesmaids prepping to "tekan" the groom and his brothers. We were quite kind – look at the decent food on the table!
