What's Your Dream? Stuff from Pastor Jeremy Seaward's sermon today (sat service). kind of like a summary. ok a long summary. but ok. main points are here. Acts 2:17 "I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." (and Joel 2:28 pretty much says the same thing...) God is a visionary God and he has a dream for each of our lives! (Jeremiah 29:11" "For i know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." ") So ok. Joseph's story (Genesis 37:1-20; 39:1-13,20-23)...where he has a great dream. but in his life, there were so many disappoinments and times where there seemed to be no possibility of the dream being fulfilled but in the end, it got fulfilled anyway. (er. ok sorry if you don't know the story. i'm too lazy to type out the story. but hey! if you
i do not like mosquitoess. itchy. pffty. anyway. Here's a bit of T.S. Eliot, from Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats The Naming of Cats The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter, It isn't just one of your holiday games; You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES. First of all, there's the name that the family use daily, Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James, Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey -- All of them sensible everyday names. There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter, Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames: Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter -- But all of them sensuble everyday names But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular, A name that's peculiar, and more dignified, Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular, Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride? Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum, Such
Seminar : God is Not Fair. Coming to terms with life's raw deal. by Dr Joel Freeman " I believe that God is not fair. But He is just and is merciful. Fairness is an earth-bound perspective but justice and mercy are Heaven-bound. If God were fair, we would all go to hell. Thankfully, He is just and merciful. Don't spend too much time asking why. Sometimes we should just ask God to use what happens to us in a meaningful way." It's from Wesley's quaterly magazine, Tidings. I thought it was pretty interesting. Ren Xiang and i were talking. and : our GLs should be called FMs - Fresh Makers, since the orientation's theme is "refresh". then we get Dana (sponsor head) to get mentos for us all. Then we all have like, 10 sticks of mentos of smtg. then when we want the freshies to do things then we can bribe them with mentos. har har. hi sarah . that's why we're pals man. that's why we're pals. haha. ladidum! hi poks ters! how are you? i wi

hur hur - Dear Girls, (the handbellers performing for the next syf) As a professional musician, educator and other things, I have asked myself for all the years of music learning what life skills have music education and music competitions empowered me to face the world as a working adult. You as an individual need to ask yourself the same questions. Music learning and ensemble playing teaches you to observe the different human behaviours of your ringing mates. The way they perceive and understand instructions, level of intelligence, choice of responsibility and many others. These are life skills that when you become an adult carries with you till you die. Learning to appreciate music is good however unless you make music your career you need to know that in music you need to apply these life skills you learn in your life. I realised as girls, as asian girls, you all are shy, well blame it on our culture. However, today, in this modern world, if you remain shy and inward conscience, yo

anyway, hello everybody! i just went cable skiing! that's why i wasn't around last sunday. was in batam. cost $75 altogether for the boat ride there and your skiiing lesson. i went with my sis (chin siew) and 4 of her friends. we stayed at the hotel ...uh, one hotel room. 6 people. heh. yea. what's cable-skiing? uh. you know like those people who ski on water and are pulled on boats? it's the same for cable-skiing, just that you're pulled by a cable about 10 meters off the ground, instead of a boat. and it's super fun! it's SUPER DUPER FUN! but it also makes your arms ache. my arms ache now. ache really badly. it's not the after-jogging then you don't stretch kind of ache. it's the it-aches-even-to-(*thinks*)put-my-arms-over-my-head-ache. but nevermind. IT WAS FUN!!! yes it was super duper fun and i want to go back but i'm a student and my allowance won't support this sport. haha :/ i wanna go back again. and try to at least make it one r
