I just wrote my mom a nice letter. Wrote my Dad one last week- am giving it to him on Father's Day. If you haven't expressed your appreciation, admiration, love, etc for your parents before/in a long time, maybe it's time to do so. I'm sure your parents will find it an encouragement. - Conducted my first No Apologies workshop today, with Alvin Ong. Pretty interesting. Didn't know that conducting a workshop could get so tiring. Plus the school didn't provide a microphone (class had about 70-80 kids) so whoa- projecting your voice for so much can get tiring. Still, pretty good. Thank God I got mostly nice kids on my first try, and a good co-facilitator. More workshops next week. : ) - Exchanging namecards is kinda fun. ha. But I suppose the novelty does wear off after a while.

Hallo :) I think many people, including me, struggle with putting God first. There always seem to be so many things to finish, so many "better" things to do. We can never finish! How can there be time for God then? But in the Bible, Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - FIRST Pastor How, Heart of God Church An example: If you put your career first, God will let you take care of your career. If you put God first, God will be God of your career, and bless it. Give God priority in these 5 areas: 1. Finance - Tithing, First fruits • Tithing: not voluntary, but a command (Tithing is giving 10% of what you have, to God) • The purpose of tithing is to teach you to always put God first in your lives (Deuteronomy 14:23) • Giving is an act of love. In our Asian culture where praise is rare, people who compliment freely are like a breath of fresh air. Yes the compliment feels good, but I think the person who gave the compliment is.....well, being able to give compliments freely shows something about a person too :) Compliment freely! But of course, sincerely, genuinely please. Complimenting people can make you feel happy too you know! Cos you made someone feel good so you feel good too. But of course your intention is not for yourself to feel good la -_- It's kind of...liberating. haha. In a way :) - I miss foto taking! B&W. This morning I was half an hour early at my office. So I went to the little room to have a look a the little keyboard there and it ended up in a great time of worship. So that was a good start to the day. I realised that it's important to lift God's name on high in a place. To just praise and glorify His name. It just sort of like, cleanses the place, frees it. The room somehow feels different, when it's a house of God. I'd like to think my room that way. Cos it's where I have my quiet time. So you know, it's where I read, where I worship, where I be still.
