Calling your finding

Many people are trying to find their calling.   But that doesn't explain Marianne Money, bank manager, or Jim Kardwell, who owns a card company. Or Thomas Duck who started Ugly Duckling rent-a-car and Tito Beveridge who makes vodka. It doesn't explain why people named Dennis are more likely to become dentists...   I'm not sure that anyone has a calling. I think, instead, our culture creates situations where passionate people find a place where they can make an impact. Mushroom hunting

This weekend we headed to Creswick, about a 1.5 hour drive South West of Melbourne, for some mushroom hunting! My friend had done a course on it before so now she was showing us the ropes. Before your search for mushrooms, you first get some pine leaves to put in your basket. This is to clean your mushrooms with and also to keep your basket cleaner. Last time my friend came to this area with almost 30 other people and they found so much that their baskets were completely full and they had  to stop. Unfortunately during this trip in the three hours of walking through the forest we didn't find any edible mushrooms. Perhaps it was not wet enough for mushrooms to have grown, or they had all already been picked! But anyway, the weather was great; not too hot and yet cool enough for walking, and we enjoyed the forest and good company anyway. We also chanced upon Le Peche Gourmand Pattiserie in Creswick which turned out to be awesome . It was almost worth the trip just for the deli
