Here are two stories from a sermon by Benny Ho. His sermon was on a different topic which I didn't really listen to. But here are the two stories, and my thoughts (for you to think about). - A true story told from the South-Pacific islands. In that land, it is customary for men to trade their cows for their wives. That means if you want to marry a person, you've got to give them some cows in exchange for their daughter's hand in marriage. If the girl looks very simple, she might just get one cow. If the girl is pretty, she might get two cows. If you're really pretty, you can get up to four cows. There was this girl in the village who looked really really plain and so simple that her father, of course, was expecting a maximum of one cow for his daughter - can get one cow, happy already. Whether it is one person or two people travelling, it makes no difference in terms of administrative cost, since it is the traveller who does the booking online and printing of the e-ticket. For a return ticket to Auckland, it costs the single traveller about $450 more than what it will cost him if he books the ticket jointly with another traveller. It will surely benefit SIA to stop practising price discrimination against the single traveller as many single travellers like myself would definitely consider flying with our national carrier when this policy is chang

Straits Times Forum, Online letter Commuters lost balance when train braked suddenly I was onboard the MRT train travelling towards Raffles Place from Yishun MRT Station on Aug 22. The whole journey seemed to be smooth. However, when the train was approaching Raffles MRT station, it braked suddenly, causing some commuters to lose their balance and some others fall. Did the controller of this MRT Carriage 2217 know how dangerous it was to the commuters? Due to this incident, I sprained my leg and had to seek my own medical treatment. All these incidents could be prevented if the controller of the MRT trains is alert and exercises caution when approaching the station. Warrow. Best sia. Sometimes I look at a person and see many faults, and I wonder how God can still use them, especially if greatly. And I am reminded that I, too, have my imperfections but God still chooses to use me. His grace is enough, and His power is made perfect in my weaknesses.

Looks familiar? Looks like the Sony Ericsson ads out there right? I did the above about two years ago. Okay I know it doesn't look as nice as the Sony one but that's not the point. And there was a Singtel ad on MRT trains where they had an afro (among other stuff) stuck on the window so when a person sat on the seat in front of the window, it looked like he/she had an afro. And guess what? I did that for my VSCProject1 more than two years ago. For some class project where I was promoting a salon. But well, the Singtel execution was bad :/ And I used the tagline "Have it my way" and then BK came back with that tagline. Then I realised that oops, it couldn't have been original for me to use it cos I must have heard it somewhere before, if BK used to use it. But anyway. Shucks. Cos He's got a bigger imagination than I do, and He can dream beyond my wildest imaginations, and yea, He dreams the best dreams, has got the best plans. It is about surrender and obedience.

Integrity cannot be measured by degrees - there is no such things as a person having little, or much intergrity. Integrity is... integrity! You either have it, or you don't. It is about the condition of being unified, sound and complete. Sometimes we compartmentalise - upright in this area, but not in another. Nice to your friends, but horrible to your family because you take them for granted. That's not being very sound. That's being schizophrenic. And that's not integrity. So yes, aim for integrity.
