christmas

Ah. It's already past 2am! Doing some reading for my project and... talking about the media...how it should potray the real consequences of sex (out of marriage), "After all these years, why isn't James Bond a Daddy?" - Anyway, Christmas :) Back when we were staying at Green Meadows, we used to have a nice tall christmas tree which we'd put up and decorate yearly. We haven't had that for a while now. But this year, meimei made a nice muji-like tree. The presents are there, but we haven't opened them because we're waiting for the da jie. Candlelight service on the 23rd and Christmas service on the 25th. Services like that, sometimes the thought of not going pops into my mind. Perhaps because I'm lazy :p and I think, what for? I mean, I can think about the meaning of Christmas and whatever other stuff at home right? But well, I always go in the end. And I'm always glad I went. It's fun with everyone doing stuff and being happy together. hah

Beetle ritual

This beetle in my room? I think it's really stupid cos it's flying all around and hitting itself against walls and stuff. But who am I to say? Maybe it's just some uh, beetle ritual or something. Cos this brown beetle? It's always doing this stupid thing. But what seems stupid to me may not seem stupid to them. Cos maybe they enjoy flying all around whee whee~ and hitting themselves. I sound really stupid now. haha.

2006 to 2007.

Hello! It's time to reflect about the year! Okay I wrote stuff in my personal diary, but here's some stuff I'd like to share. This didn't come about because I was sitting down and thinking, oh. What shall 2007 be about, and all that. Rather, I was just thinking a lot about YM and ministry, and this all came to me. So, here's sharing a bit with you all. - It's been a good year, I'd say. And now, wow, more responsibility. "With great power comes great reponsibility." said Spiderman's uncle. And well, power comes in the form of knowledge as well. For me, 2006's theme was to arise. And well, arise in some areas, I did. I believe 2007's theme is...to set an example. "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers, in speech, in life, in love and in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12) You know, I used to think a new year, resolutions etc weren't necessary. After all, they're just meas

ephesians 4

"... live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." – Ephesians 4:1-6 - btw, camp sermon notes can be found at camp blog at ymcamp2006.blogspot.com

In Jeremiah 32:38-41 (NIV)

In Jeremiah 32:38-41 (NIV), God lovingly tells the Israelites that "they will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul." Today, God says the same things to us, as His children in the new covenant. - camp blog! impt updates! ymcamp2006.blogspot.com
