hi meimei, thailand and stuff.

star-spangled.

hi meimei,

we have always wanted to learn thai, haven't we? only siew siew got down to actually learning it, though only a bit. sawadeeka, sabaideeleika. i remember when we used to go to yala to visit them when we were all younger. the bolts of cloth. and then talking rubbish to bell as i played lego with her because i didn't know thai. she looks the same, you know? just bigger, taller, but her face is still the same. i think when it comes down to our generation, there will be hardly any contact already cos we have nothing much to talk about. which is quite sad, especially because they are really nice people. and even though we saw them only once in a long time, it feels like we grew up together with ah kee's kids. where's aunty may and angie. i used to think, why don't they call her ng if her name is N-G. cos N-G spells ng. i got it after about a year. lantern festival with pretty paper lanterns with candles (not those battery-operated hello kitty whatever ones now :/ ) up the steps to the playground, the swings, the seesaw. Mrs Chia's house not far away. Many sweets, she gave, while we were new. haha. but she was the nicest. Yaohan. Royal Rangers, ah, no more of that. You and siew planning a little party for me with daniel, luke, lushen, wei. around the brown table. very sweet. yvonne from upstairs. teacher's estate playground and your first pair of blades. that huge (quite, when you're small) christmas tree (no more) we'd decorate every christmas. late nights, hanging up wet clothes at the upstairs balcony with mom. do you remember the red telephone and little cupboard full of books? i wish we still had those enid blython and archie books. i bought an enid blython book last sunday you know :/

how about care bears and strawberry shortcake?

we girls should go on a road trip. haha. or well, the siblings :) now how cool is that! but it's always so hard to find a time when we're all free. poo. our last trip to the zoo was when ah zai and chiu came but chiu got bored fast so too bad.

Today, i didn't' go for lunch. dawn went for lunch with her church friend and i decided to sit outside at one of the benches at Chip Bee Gardens (outside Cho Lon, to be exact) and I sat there writing for almost an hour. That felt quite good (: actually, that was really good (:
